ManifestOs for the Writer’s Soul

Write without vanity,

or supremacy,

or greed,

or losing touch with things as they are.

Write for understanding,

for productive communication,

for healing–yourself and others

–for a love of storytelling,

for remembrance,

for all intentions honest and brave.

  1. I like how simple the first couple lines are. It really reflects the simplified writing tone you’re trying to convince people to write for as well. Nothing fancy, just honest writing. What would you say to someone that doesn’t write for intentions “honest and brave”? What would this look like to you? A writer who doesn’t care about what he’s writing? Interesting thought.
